Remember when you held my hand?
You promised me the stars and the sky.
But instead of stars, all I have are scars,
    Since we said good-bye.

I recall that your eyes are brown,
But your stare I can’t remember.
Your stares and your touch slowly faded away,
    Just like a dying ember.

I know you say you love me,
Please know, I love you, too,
But the distance between us is tearing me apart,
And there’s nothing we can do.

I’m living each day one day at a time,
There’s nothing else I can do.
I dream of remembering the little things,
Those dreams will get me through.

–Goodnight, if my insomnia will let me sleep….
