She’s 23!!!
Everybody flood her with calls and e-mails and
sing to her often…it’s required.
Ahh, life is so wonderful, isn’t it?! I have an awesome fiancĂ©, amazing friends, and yes, even a CHI hair straightener! The sun shines a little brighter today in my corner of the world, for I have beautiful hair!
Alex is coming tonight… I will be so glad to see him… it’s getting harder and harder to be apart, and our time apart seems to be shorter than what we’re used to. We’re just sad that way… I can’t wait to be married and spend every day together!
Mucho love to everyone out there!

P.S. I was reading an interview done by CNN with Michael Berg, whose son was publicly beheaded in Iraq 2 years ago… The whole interview was fascinating, but I really enjoyed the last few lines of is interview… it’s definitely something to think about–what makes US any more right than anyone else?
….
O’BRIEN: There’s a theory that as they try to form some kind
of government, that it’s going to be brutal, it’s going to be bloody,
there’s going to be loss, and that’s the history of many countries –
and that’s just what a lot of people pay for what they believe will be
better than what they had under Saddam Hussein.
BERG:
Well, you know, I’m not saying Saddam Hussein was a good man, but he’s
no worse than George Bush. Saddam Hussein didn’t pull the trigger,
didn’t commit the rapes. Neither did George Bush. But both men are
responsible for them under their reigns of terror.
I don’t buy that. Iraq did not have al Qaeda in it. Al Qaeda supposedly killed my son.
Under Saddam Hussein, no al Qaeda. Under George Bush, al Qaeda.
Under Saddam Hussein, relative stability. Under George Bush, instability.
Under
Saddam Hussein, about 30,000 deaths a year. Under George Bush, about
60,000 deaths a year. I don’t get it. Why is it better to have George
Bush the king of Iraq rather than Saddam Hussein?
O’BRIEN:
Michael Berg is the father of Nicholas Berg, the young man, the young
businessman who was beheaded so brutally in Iraq back in May of 2004.

Today is 6/6/06, and I don’t know whether to be overly cautious given the demonic undertones of the date, or just shrug it off as another day… I wonder if anything outright crazy is going to happen today–you know SOMEONE is going to take the numbers a bit too far… I just noticed that I can’t bring myself to write the numbers in succession… The closest I could get was writing the date above, but I guess I don’t want to have it “marked” on my page… How creepy.
Regardless of the day, I’m having a great start to mine, even if I did wake up at 4:30… I had a killer migraine yesterday and could barely function, so anything is better than that.
Well, back to the grindstone!
