• Where Did THAT Come From?! (PLUS CONTEST!)

  OMG, she blogs!

  Yes, it’s been awhile, but I’ve been busy cooking a baby, y’all! Hah, seriously, I’ve been taking advantage of the second trimester relief by work, work, working the days away. Sure, I need to take it easy, but I’m staying within healthy lines, I promise.

  For example, I’ve only gained three or four pounds, and I’m now half-way there! I crave salads like it’s going out of style. Veggies=yum. I don’t exercise outside of walking, and yet I’m all belly. Not that I was a skinny chick before, but at least I’m maintaining, or sending the fat to the belly/boob area.

  I got my flu shot a few weeks ago, which brought some underlying crud to the surface. I “enjoyed” a week of sick, with no GOOD medicines to relieve me. Ugh.

  Thankfully, my bestest Sara and Xanga bud Lorie came to visit me this weekend, just as I recovered … we had a blast!

  

  Oh! As you can see to the right, Geoffrey the Giraffe was out at Babies R Us when Sara and I registered this past weekend. I’m not ashamed to admit it: he terrifies me!
  
  

  Now, let’s talk about (the) sex …

  We get to find out the sex this Thursday, and I am beyond excited. (NOTE: provided my kid spreads his/her legs like a champ) I was thinking of doing a contest or something around it, but I’m pretty sure I’ve alienated most of my readers by my lack of blog presence. Buuuuut, Imma do it anyway.

  (Guess the) Sex Contest!

  Here’s the deal: Between now and Thursday, you can vote ONCE on what you think I may be having (choice one: boy. choice two: girl. No monkies, aliens or other creatures, please. I’m terrified enough). For each correct vote, I will BLOG an entry. Oh, and you may get some credits thrown your way, too. Who knows.

  For one, it’ll be an incentive for me to actually start writing again, and two, hey, it’s fun to hear from you!

  

  And yes, I’ll even give you a few things to help your vote along.

  Reasons why it’ll be a boy:
  1. my mom says so
  2. most people think “boy” when they look at me
  3. blue’s my favorite color
  4. I drempt of having a girl, but she ended up having a penis
  5. we have the name all picked out

  Reasons why it’ll be a girl:
  1. I want a girl, Husband wants a girl, mom-in-law wants a girl
  2. I’m carrying kind of high
  3. Not normally a fan of pink, I’m drawn to all the cutesy girly things in the baby store
  4. I dream of having a girl, even seeing her face
  5. we can’t wait to narrow down to one girl name (it’s just too fun, we can’t stop!)
