  • the takeover!!!!

It is I, the husband! I have taken over the blog of BarelyJen! Why you may ask!?!?!?! Because I can (and she forgot to log off on the laptop and I got in). Now I would like to take this time for something that means a lot to me. It’s something that not a lot of people are prepared for and cause harm to them and others around them. It about Zombies, the silent killers of the night.

A zombie is not one of the living anymore, they hold on to no part of their past. They are not the people you once knew. They will attack and kill you, and if they don’t eat all of you, you will become one of them. Zombies are slow moving so speed is on your side.

The basics of surviving a zombie attack. Be silent, move fast, if someone is bitten do them a favor and end it while they are still human….and a sword doesn’t need reloading. If you can get to a second level of a building and destroy all paths to it from the first floor. Fill a bath tub with water right away, you never know when the water will go out. Ear plugs are going to be helpful against the constant moans of the living dead.

Now you may be thinking “But Alex, I’m got my own zombie plan and I know all my escape routes to the safe high grounds where I have months and months of food and supplies.” Thats great, but what happens after months of the zombie apocolypse? After killing……re-killing your friends and loved ones? You need to get back into a functioning society, but after such a long time by yourself or a small band of wanderers, you might not be able to slip back into the swing of things. Don’t worry, I am here to help.

You need to make sure you have good labor skills, plumbing, wood work, metal working, farming and so on. Being a history major isn’t going to help you anymore. Being able to list all the actors that played the doctor in “Dr. Who” won’t help you fight off the swarms of the undead. Prepare yourself, pick up good skills. Always remember: one less of us, is one more of them.
